Smart outer motors are outer motors that are equipped with patented sensor technology and an integrated servo drive. This unit saves you the development and assembly costs associated with conventional drive systems.
Does your application require high peak torques and/or lower cogging torques? The torque of an outer motor can be 2 - 3 times higher than that of a conventional servo motor.
Since control and encoder are integrated, you can program precise control of torque, speed and position. Inputs, outputs and program sequences can also be implemented. The smart outer motor even provides monitoring of overcurrent, torque, voltage, temperature and blocked shaft.
You can also easily replace stepper motors and enjoy the benefits of closed-loop position control as well as the advantages of a servo motor.
