The RIO is a compact, cost-effective PLC with Ethernet interface. The RIO (Remote I/O Controller) contains a fast RISC processor for I/O processing and is programmed with Galil's intuitive instruction set or Galil's Ladder Interface Software (ladder diagram).

Programming is done with Galil's Ladder Interface Software. The software translates relay ladder logic into program code for the RIO controller. This makes it easy to program the PLC graphically. While direct programming with Galil's instruction set offers more flexibility, it is easier to get a graphical overview of the I/O logic.

Remote I/O-RIO 47300

Objects such as contacts, coils, switching relays, boxes (e.g. timers, counters and data processing) and analog I/O are used in the graphical interface. To optimize the program code, the software automatically adds a determinism to the RIO program.

Multitasking supports the parallel execution of several programs. Variables, arrays, conditions, arithmetic and logical commands are also available for programming. 2 PID controllers, web interface, Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) and e-mail notification round off the range of functions.
